7 Central Coast Events This Spring You Will Not Want To Miss

Why wait until Summer to kickoff your vacation season if you can hit the road in your RV this spring? The Central Coast has a ton of fun events taking place within the next few months that you just might want to check out.

1. Santa Maria Elks Rodeo

This year is the 76th Annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo. It will be taking place May 30 – June 2, 2019, at the Elks Unocal Event Center located in Santa Maria. These four days are packed with activities including everything from Team Roping and WPRA Barrel Racing to Bull Riding and Steer Wrestling along with a dance every night. 2. Taste of Pismo

On April 27, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm you can be part of the 15th Annual Premier Wine and Culinary Event – Taste of Pismo. It takes place at Dinosaur Caves Park. Ticket prices are $65 per person and only $35 for any designated drivers attending. All attendees of this event must be 21 years and over. There is a long list of restaurants, wineries, and breweries that are taking place in this tasting event.

 

3. 37th annual Paso Robles Wine Festival 

If you want to experience “where small-town charm meets world-class wine” then the Paso Robles Wine Festival is an event you’ll want to check out. It’s taking place in various Paso Robles locations from May 16-19, 2019. There are winemaking seminars, wine tastings, and dinners at local area restaurants. 4. Santa Barbara Vintners Festival

Come enjoy Santa Barbara’s wine country at the Vintners Festival taking place on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Rancho Sisquoc in the Santa Maria Valley. The focus for this year is to give everyone an inside look at winemaking. You can learn about how barrels are made, see a bottling truck, and enjoy stunning views, live music, and the Bubble Lounge. You can even purchase a Vinters Visa Wine Country Tasting Pass to enjoy twelve different tasting rooms. There will be wine from over 70 wineries at the event.

5. Avila Beach Tequila Festival and Blues Festival

If you’d like to pair two great days of festivals together you might want to check out the Avila Beach Tequila Festival on May 25th which is followed by the Avila Beach Blues Festival on the 26th.
The Tequila Festival combines local eats, live music, and plenty of good tequila. There are over 50 different brands of tequila along with Mexican beer. And the festival will feature live music from Nana Pancha and Diego’s Umbrella. The Blues Festival is featuring Eric Burdon & the Animals and Charlie Musselwhite.

6. Beer Fest at Madonna Meadows 

Beer Fest is a popular event with alumni and current college students alike. It’s taking place on May 25, 2019, at Madonna Meadows.   Your ticket into the event will get you unlimited beer tastings, souvenir taster, and access to all the live music that will be present. There will also be an obstacle course and cornhole among other games.

7. Pismo Beach Car Show

The Classic at Pismo Beach Car Show is celebrating their 34th year. The event takes place on the first weekend in June and it’s free to the public making it a great event to check out when you’re on the road. There are great shopping and wineries in the area allowing you to turn the destination into a full trip. But, the top attractions are the cars that are brought in from all over the country and some even from other countries. The car show also raises money for important organizations.
